George F. Snell III Joins Weber Shandwick As Senior Vice President, Digital Communications Practice
Friday, June 12, 2009 CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – June 12, 2009 – George F. Snell III, a former journalist with deep experience in developing web-based communications strategies, has joined Weber Shandwick as a senior vice president in its Digital Communications practice (www.webershandwick.com/digitalcommunications).
Snell has more than 20 years experience as a journalist and communications consultant. He has worked with many major New England companies to develop online programs to help them communicate about their businesses and protect their reputations. Snell regularly blogs about the media, public relations and social networks.

Prior to joining Weber Shandwick, Snell was a senior vice president at Racepoint Group. He was a co-leader of the global communications efforts for One Laptop Per Child, which won numerous awards, including the United Nations Grand Award for Excellence in Communications and a PRSA Silver Anvil Award for Reputation/Brand Management. Before joining Racepoint, Snell was a director and senior consultant at ML Strategies.
